Crafty Crushes
So, who is your current scrapping crush? Her blog is
first on your google reader. You look at how she uses a
manufacturer and are inspired to buy those products and give it
a go. You have already bookmarked her holiday creations,
so you can come back and try them out. Right--now you
understand what I mean. I just could not resist sharing
three of my crushes with you. Please read on to meet these
talented scrappers.
Meet Wendy Morris
Texture and creativity are the two words that always come to
my mind when I look at Wendy's items. I love the way she
begins adding texture from the second she selects her paper.
She mists, uses rub ons, adds paint, or stamps before she begins
layering to build her project. Most of her creations
include at least one item that will shine as a finishing touch.
Although I love Wendy's layouts, it is her altered
creations that first caught my eye. Her blog is one of the
first places I visit when I need to make a gift or am in the
mood to alter. Look at this gorgeous mini album. I
HAVE to make one to carry around with me for sketching and
thoughts.
How does Wendy inspire me? First, it is entirely her
fault that I own every line of the new company Simple Stories.
Wendy used their products so beautifully that they were a must
buy. Second, Wendy made me pull out my rub on and stamping
stash. She inspired me to really look at the foundation of
my layouts and to add texture. Thanks, Wendy!

Design Notes:
In this mini, I thought about changes in the season, in life, beautiful moments, bittersweet memories....I have many more things to add into this journal, just on my own whim, some personal journaling & randomness of thought & more play on artistic mediums. For the covers, I used the Zutter Art Canvas Board. Love this nice & sturdy canvas book board! I tested it out with lots of different papers, stamps, inks, acrylic paints, Smooch Spritz, vintage tissue patterns, paints & Donna Salazar Mix'd Media Inx. I randomly selected different papers & textures - ripped pieces from Crafty Chronicle, old dictionary, etc. and just let my mind play onto the canvas because if I didn't like it at first I could just keep layering. I even punched out some heart shapes and layered those in too.

Design Notes: I SUPER LOVE frozen yogurt and has really been my summertime support system for that ice cream craving. Lately, I've seen more & more of these sweet yogurt cafes' popping up in neighborhoods and in my area Moo Che Che's @ Eastern Shore Center in Malibis, AL is quite divine! Also, a new one just opened 5 MINUTES from my home and I think I even love it better than Moo Che Che's! I typically go as a reward after a hard day, finishing a project, or a Saturday splurge :) I always try to render the fact it's yogurt, it HAS to be healthy, but then again when the cup is the size of Texas & the cost is based on weight after all the amazing toppings [insert here, i love the cheesecake minis' as an add-in BUT usually I do good & put some fruit on it, thinking daily food groups...dairy & fruit, right?]...sometimes I have to think again.

Hello! I’m a Southern girl from Alabama. I’m always inspired by things around me and make time each day for art....living in the motto to “find inspiration everyday everywhere”. It’s funny that when I’m not creating I’m usually jotting down ideas/sketches/pinning on Pinterest color ideas and patterns for creations later once back in my art room.
Since scrapbooking 15+ years ago, I've been addicted since the beginning. I have a strong passion for life art, lots of creative spirit, and fearless in working with new products and techniques. My style would be defined as very versatile in delivering lots of details, mostly in mini books, and blending the old + new + typically adding stamping always in the mix.
Within my blog,
ScrapNspire, I share life, art ideas, what inspires me through fashion & vintage finds, techniques, tutorials, and projects. I'm currently on the design teams for Bella Blvd, Simple Stories, myStampBOX, Punky Scraps, and a staffer for Scrapbook News & Review Magazine.
