There are so many great things about being a woman! We get to enjoy long hot baths, manicures, chick flicks, fuzzy slippers, and the infamous Girls Night Out! So many things that our male counterparts just don’t understand....poor them! I mean guys have friends that they like to do things with They watch sports, hunt, play video games, and share testosterone packed fun. Things we girls just don’t get most of the time.
To be honest I have never been a very girlie girl. Most of my friends growing up were guys so it was not until I was married that the concept of a Girls Night Out really became important to me. But now after having my daughter and being married for several years I am more appreciative of my girl time. For me those special nights out are normally spent with my sister and Mom. In the past several years my Girls Night Out activities have consisted of everything from participating in a knitting group to cruising New York’s Times Square. Talk about a girl of extremes! I treasure these times and what better way to preserve the memories than to scrap them.
Women all around the world look forward to these special nights. It was very exciting for me to see all the different ways we ladies had fun with our girlfriends. I am very happy to share a fond memory of my Mom, sister, and I as we enjoyed Girl Time in New York City! I am also very pleased to include several gorgeous layouts from some very talented ladies from the digi-scrapping community. So grab some inspiration that will hopefully inspire you to scrap those Girls Night layouts!!

Ladies Night Out In the City That Never Sleeps by Casey Thompson
Digital Supplies:
Template: Template 121 by Simply Yin, Kits: Hey Mr. DJ Mega Kit by
ScrapOrchard Designers (Scrap Orchard), Splash by Project B Designs, Hand In My Pocket kit, (Elemental Scraps), Software: Pixelmator 1.6.2, Fonts: Socially Awkward, Cry Kitty.
Design Notes:
I love to use multiple photos in my layouts. Templates like this one are
ideal to help me decide on photo placement and orientation. The
balance between portrait and landscape shots gave a look that I
really liked. I also like to mix kits when I can so using the
splash element with the full kit was neat. I’m also a font junky
so I found a kind of urban font, Cry Kitty. And then for my
journaling I like handwritten fonts so Socially Awkward worked
well. I love to tell stories with my layouts so I normally have
lots of journaling!
Journaling:
Times Square is always buzzing with activity and bright with neon lights. So
when three small town girls hit the streets there is bound to be
lots of fun to be had. On this night we had a ball. We walked
Times Square, took in all the stores, had cheesecake at Roxy’s,
and bought knock off pocket books from a street vendor. Not far
from Times Square is the American Girl store. We had to make a
stop there! Mama was determined to buy Ella a Bitty Baby from
here! No other doll would do! We had a great time! But I guess
what made it fun was being together and sharing girl time! It
will be so much fun when Ella is a bit older and can join in
too!

A week before my wedding I organised a special hen party for my friends. I chose a place not so typical for such parties - a tea-house called "At Merry Elephant"! It means there was a lot of tea served (to everyone according to her taste) together with cakes baked by myself. Even though Zuzka promised to organize a male striptease, finally she brought a huge T-shirt (at least XXXXL) with a text: "Wanna sex with me? No need to speak... just smile!"
Other participants to this tea-drinking session were Helka, Dorot, Danka, Sue and Peta, who was terribly late (she forgot herself roller-skating at the mole)
We were having a great time and when looking back, I would never change anything!
