Somewhere around May of 2006, I kept hearing people talking about
ScrapStreet and ScrapStreet magazine and how amazing and wonderful it was,
and about how exciting it was to be able to be published in such a great
new magazine. I decided to check it out myself, popped in the forum, and I
haven't been able to leave since! I admit, it was the Saturday Night Scrap
that drew me in first, but the friendliness of the members and staff on
the board kept me there. The Streets quickly became like a home to me, and
the more time I spent, the more ingenuity I saw in a truly unique message
board. I can honestly say I've already met friends for life; oh - and the
scrapping is unbelievably great, too!
I've been keeping memory books as far back as when I was three years old,
but I began actual scrapbooking to liven up my wedding planner in 1999. I
soon after learned about the scrapbook-safe hobby, Googled scrapbook
online, and found Yahoo groups and message boards all about scrapbooking.
After my husband, Doug, and two kids, Matthew and McKenna, my life
revolves around scrapbooking. For me, it's become not only keeping
memories and sorting photos, but has long since become an art as an
expression of me. I scrap for me as an outlet, and for my family as future
heritage, to preserve all kinds of moments and pictures and events, but I
love sharing my work and myself in the ScrapStreet community. You'll find
me chatting and mostly paper scrapping, but you'll see a digital project
or two pop up from me as well.
I am honored and pleased to become a part of such a fabulous and fun staff
at ScrapStreet. The talent is amazing, the atmosphere fun, and the friends
are for life. If you want to know anymore, come find me as LindseyK75,
Linds or look for my little Guido guy. I'll be somewhere, wandering the
streets, looking for laughs or causing a little trouble. My one and only
goal here is to inspire others as much as ScrapStreet has inspired me.
Here's to happy scrapping!
