My name is Nicole Martel. Currently, I work for NASA Federal Credit Union. I received my bachelor's degree in Business Management with a 3.32 GPA in July 2010.

I live in Maryland with my wonderful husband (married 7 years, together almost 12 years). We have a one year old son named Edward Zane. We also have 2 dogs, Daisy and Paw Paw and a cat named Scarlet.

Some interesting facts about me... I hopped a moving train with a few of my girlfriends when I was about 13; thankfully none of us got hurt. I played Lacrosse for 3 years for Woodlawn High School. When I was 19 I played goalie for an Ice Hockey novice league through the YMCA in Cumberland, Maryland, I've got my first and only tattoo when I turned 20, My mom took me to get my belly button pierced at 19. I'm not a beer drinker; I prefer a Tom Collins or a glass of sangria.

Some other facts about me, I love to read. I read about 2 hours before bed every night. I love spending time with my son and family. I love to listen to all kinds of music like Alternative, Country, Pop, and a little Rap. I love to travel. Although it's been awhile since I've gone somewhere, the last vacation that I had was in Costa Rica 5 years ago and my husband and I absolutely loved it.

I began scrapping in January 2002. I remember when mom asked me to go to a Creative Memories party with her. I laughed telling her no way, I'm not creative enough! By the time I left that party, I had my first album, cardstock, pens, trimmer, scissors, lots of triangle die cuts and stickers. Little did I know that I'd be addicted! I am totally addicted to this hobby. It makes me happy to create layouts for my friends and family and to inspire others to scrap. My friends call me the Paparazzi (laughs). My camera is always with me! I love taking photos and when my friends get annoyed with me, I tell them that one day, we will be old and we'll appreciate the goofy photos that we took. After all, scrapbooking is all about keeping the "Memories alive!".
