Hello, I am Scrap Stew Sue. I started out in Digital Scrapbooking in August 2007, started a blog of freebies for digital scrapping and the rest is history . I had heard about the ease and convenience of it and how it went hand-in-hand with paper scrapbooking. Well needless to say, I was hooked
immediately! Since I was self-taught in Photoshop, the marriage between Digital Scrapbooking and myself was complete. Speaking of marriage, I am married to my high school sweetheart (for many many years) and we have 1 son. He's married to wonderful gal and recently they made my husband and I Grandparents! Now I feel that I just can't get enough photos of our
Granddaughter and make enough scrap pages with her included in each and everyone of them.
Prior to my self inflicted addiction to digital scrap booking, I was a nurse for a family practice for many years. I have been lucky enough to retire early and enjoy my life with my family. Born and raised in Missouri, we enjoyed seeing our country whilst my husband served in the USAF. After our son graduated from college and suffering from the "empty nest syndrome", we opened our home for foreign exchange students that lived with us for a year's study. All 5 kids are still considered to be our sons and daughters and have went onto successful careers in their countries. Nowadays, we spend time between our cabin in the Ozarks and our home in the city. We fish, canoe, and just generally decompress in the beautiful scenery of the big woods.
I am delighted to be a designer at Scrap Street. All the ladies make this a warm and inspirational home for everyone and I feel so honored to be part of the family. I absolutely love designing and sharing my work. I get a kick out of seeing what others do with it. People have asked me how my name came about. Metaphorically speaking, scrapping is like making a savory stew, you add some of this n' that and hope everyone enjoys what you created. So, it's much like cooking. Variety being the spice of life, I hope to cook up some wonderful things here at Scrap Street and I hope you'll join me and the other ladies in the process of making lasting memories for you and your loved ones.
