March is the month where you begin to notice the sky is bluer, the trees and bushes are showing a hint of green, if not actually unfurling those fresh, new leaves!
All the promise of the rebirth of Spring! Time to shake off those dreary winter blues and come alive with a little color in your life and your scrapping. Feel a little lucky for having your
friends, family, health and a new day to try again!
Feeling Lucky is the theme of this month's free kit by Handmaid designs, and our Creative Team came up with a range of happy and bright layouts that make you feel good just by looking at
them! Let's look at the first examples.

St. Patrick's Day 2009 by Janneke Smit
Digital Supplies: Feeling Lucky by Handmaid Designs for ScrapStreet.com, Fonts: Rockwell, Blink Janneke Style.
Design Notes: I simply stretched the frame to fit my photos. To extend the ribbon underneath the photo, I copied and pasted the left end side of the ribbon using the
rectangular Marquee Tool and moved this to the left.
Journaling: Larissa and her class walked to Sumac Park to celebrate Mr. Magical Leprechaun's Birthday today. They sent up their wishes with a large weather balloon,
painted like the Earth. Larissa wished for a stuffed white bear with a red heart on the tummy. A girl performed an Irish dance and then it was Larissa's turn; everybody
was amazed at how well she danced! Then they all held hands and wished for Mr. Magical Leprechaun to appear. The teacher saw him! But Larissa didn't. The kids even
found some gold coins under a tree and they got some goody bags as well. We had a lot of fun!

Oh so LUCKY by Rani Shah
Digital Supplies: Feeling Lucky by Handmaid Designs for ScrapStreet.com, Actions, Brushes: Pioneer Woman Action Set Black and White, Fonts: Mia's Scribblings.
Design Notes: With a layout using different colors, I often like to change the picture to black and white.
Journaling: These three humans are the most wonderful beings that I have in my life. Sometimes I go crazy with them, in each their own way. And I'm sure I make them
crazy too! But I feel so humbled, happy and whole with them in my life. Maybe it's a bit of Karma. Maybe it's Kismet. Whatever it is, I feel pretty lucky to have them. They make life an adventure!

Fairy In The Garden by Katey Green
Digital Supplies: Feeling Lucky by Handmaid Designs for ScrapStreet.com, Fonts: BlackJack. Photo courtesy of Anita Patterson.
Design Notes: I created a grid in Photoshop to act as a mat and overlaid it with one of the papers. I also duplicated the bow
on the ribbon so that it was below and above the flower.
Journaling: If you are lucky, you might see a fairy at the bottom of the garden!
