The Twilight Zone
Revelation Time; I am a huge science fiction nerd. There, I said it, it's out in the open. I could honestly and justifiably "blame" my husband for creating the nerd in me,
but I actually enjoy it. The above is one of the opening lines from the old television show The Twilight Zone. No, we are not heading into space for this article but we are going
to unlock the mysteries of … Dimension.
As hybrid scrapbookers, we have it made in this department. You do not have to buy multiple sheets of the same paper to create beautiful 3-D effects on your layouts!
With one or more digital kits and a package of pop-dots, you can create layouts that can take you to another dimension. Ok, maybe not literally but figuratively speaking,
the sky is the limit here!
The following three layouts reflect the beauty of using a digital kit to create dimension. You can modify colors to your liking, you can increase or decrease size,
and you can reprint as many times as you want without having to pay again! That last reason is the best in my opinion! Cathy's layout "What Will the New Year Bring?"
is so crisp and clean it almost brings tears to my eyes. I love the precious pictures of her children, and the small embellishment that is lifted off in the center adds a
great focal point with the year 2010. Larissa's layout "Enjoy" takes us to a fun, loud carnival where you can almost smell the fair food just by looking at it. The
added digital kit elements bring more excitement to the table as she mounts them on top of traditional elements without losing her theme. And finally, Karen's layout
"Autumn" brings us back to a mellow place with a loving companion and the cool, crisp air of fall. The individually cut leaves add beautiful dimension to her page. Each
of these pages incorporated digital and traditional supplies to create layouts that never lose the reader's attention for lack of depth.

What Will The New Year Bring? by Cathy Pascual
Digital Supplies: This Year digital kit by Jen Martakis (Two Peas in a Bucket), Fonts: Rockwell, Amelie (Dafont). Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper.
Design Notes: First I created an 8.5 x 11 document in Photoshop. I used the tags as frames for my photos as well as a spot for my title and journaling.
I used the circle tags with the months as a border. I then flattened the document and reduced it in size and printed "extra" circle tags that go beyond the printed page on to the cardstock.
I popped one of the circle tags off the page for a little extra dimension.
Journaling: What will the new year bring? New friends? New places? New experiences? I hope so. But no matter what happens you will always have each other.

Live & Enjoy The Small Stuff by Larissa Albernaz
Digital Supplies: Halloween themed treat toppers and candy wrappers, Prize Ribbons and Rosettes, Kawaii Vintage Cameras Printable kit
(all by Danielle Thompson from Kitschydigitals), Photos by Robert Cadloff. Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Sheers: Maya Road, Alphabets: Sassafrass Lass, Rub-Ons: Cosmo Cricket, Other: watercolor paint, trim, book sheet.
Design Notes: I love using mismatched tones and textures to add interest to my page layout.

The Autumn of Her Years by Karen Moss
Digital Supplies: Apples: Shimelle Laine, Leafy Overlay Border: Holly Brooke Jones (both from Two Peas in a Bucket). Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Sheers: Maya Road, Stickers: Paperchase, Flowers: Prima Marketing, Other: felt, floss, watercolor pencils.
Design Notes: I printed the leaves in 3 different sizes and cut them out to make the canopy of the tree. I used lots of foam pads to add dimension to the layout.
I used a blanket stitch around the sun that I cut from a piece of yellow felt to continue with dimensional items. I cut the grass shape out of a piece of green Autumn Apples Polka Dot paper
and added the Paperchase stickers and Prima flowers. The word Autumn was printed out and colored in autumnal colours using water color pencils.
