BasicGrey

This month we were elated to be working with the “house hold” name in paper crafting, BasicGrey! Unless paper crafting is new to you, I am sure that you have heard of BasicGrey. Their style is anything but conventional as they continue to push the limits on pairing patterns, distressing, and mixing of colors like no other company on the market. Creating with BasicGrey products is like working with canvases of art work, and projects like the ones we have to share with you this month will shine because of it!

Bond by Janis G. Medina-Maghinay

Supplies: Paper, Stickers, Chipboard: BasicGrey, Glitter Glue, Ink: Ranger Industries, Bling: Gel-à-tins, K & Company, Paint: Making Memories, Specialty Ink: Tattered Angels, Maya Road, Mask: Tattered Angels, Pens: Sakura, Uni-ball.

Design Notes: I lightly misted on my base patterned paper to make my background more interesting. I love the floral designs of my BasicGrey paper here that I just cut them out and topped them with bling.

Journaling: Daddy loves you so much, Nat, that he always wants to be there to protect and guide you. He says you can only have a boyfriend when you’re 40.

Our Day by Michelle McClung

Supplies: Paper, Stickers: BasicGrey, Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Flowers: Prima Marketing, Rub-On: Crate Paper, Bling: Kaisercraft, Pen: Sakura, Pin: Maya Road, Other: ribbon.

Design Notes: I saw this beautiful paper and it screamed for a formal theme! I love the way it looked with my wedding photo and how the colors all blended together. The hardest part was keeping it simple, as this paper can look just beautiful on it's own.

Treasure by Stacey Michaud

Supplies: Paper, Die-Cuts, Journaling Tag, Buttons, Alphabet, Chipboard: Basic Grey.

Design Notes: The In the Details die-cut journaling tag inspired this entire layout. I had always wanted to do a layout about my Pandora charms but didn't quite know how to go about it. The tag was large enough to record the name of each charm and the name of the person who gave it to me. I love that it looks like a flower. The bright yellow in this collection is so cherry and happy!

Journaling: All my charms - each one symbolic & special. My ... treasure ...
