Not only are handmade flowers fun to make for your creations … creating embellishments always adds a personal touch to those layouts. Just picture it … you are done with that beautiful layout, but something is missing! You rummage through all of your embellishments not satisfied with anything that you’ve found … nothing is just quite right! That is when it’s time to get out those supplies and scissors and create your own.
Look at the adorable little fungi Megan created for her layout. Using felt and some thread she put together a perfect little embellishment. Or take a peek at the flower and vine combination Jessy created for her layout. She twisted her patterned paper to create that lovely flower. With all these beautiful layouts as inspiration, I encourage you to give it a try!

Live In The Moment by Jessy Simonson
Supplies:
Paper: Kaisercraft, Creative Imaginations, Stickers: Daisy D’s, Ink: Clearsnap, Other: paint, pen, thread. Design Notes: I handmade all of the flowers on this layout. I saw a growing trend of paper flowers, and floral vines. I thought, why not? I could do that! I accented the page with gold dimensional paint dots for a faux bling effect. The title was actually white stickers. I liked the font, so I colored them in with markers to match the color scheme. I stitched the breaks in the circle with white thread and then ran my brown chalk ink over it for a more subtle look. Journaling: One of my favorite artists, Duffy, was doing a show at First Ave. David is pretty particular about his music and I knew she wasn’t his style but he agreed to go anyway. We had a great time! I don’t think I'll get him to love her music, but at least he tried!
