Get Your Stamp On

One of the fabulous things about stamps is that you can use them over and over again and they never get used up. They make great alternatives to stickers and embellishments that you buy and can save you a lot of money in the long run.

And stamps are just easy to use! There are just so many options for each stamp that they make a smart economical buy. And you do not need to use a lot of stamps on your layout, you can always just add one. Stamp your title, or stamp a quote. I love the quote on Edleen’s “Sweet Dreams” layout. Or stamp one image on a tag or a journaling spot and add it to your page like Renee’ did on her “Me & You” layout. Or use a stamp to create a place for you to journal inside like Tracey did with the heart on her “Home is Where the Heart Is” layout.

Sweet Dreams by Edleen Abdul

Supplies: Papers: Sassafras Lass, Cosmo Cricket, Alphabet Stickers: EK Success, Stickers: Cosmo Cricket, Paint: Making Memories, Specialty Ink: Tattered Angels, Pens: Sakura, Other: ribbon, die cut. Tools: Stamps: Fiskars, Hole Punch: Crop-A-Dile (We Are Memory Keepers).

Design Notes: Trim number paper border to use as vertical border using foam dots. With recycling in mind, the swirls are from Basic Grey's packaging. I made use of my cropadile and punched holes on the diecut “Enjoy”.

Me & You by Renee’ Morris-Dezember

Supplies: Papers, Stickers, Felt, Brads, Die Cuts: G.C.D. Studios. Tools: Dies: Spellbinders, Punches: McGill, Stamps: Unity Stamp Company. Digital Supplies: Digital Date Stamps: Karla Dudley.

Design Notes: I think the best thing about this layout is the pattern paper flower that I made…punch several varying sizes of flowers using a punch and layer them on top of one another…secure in the center with a brad.

Home is Where the Heart Is by Tracey Taylor

Supplies: Paper: Crate Paper, Websters Pages, Jillibean Soup, Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Alphabet Stickers: Making Memories, Flowers: Prima Marketing, Stickers: Glitz Design, Lace: Making Memories, Pearls: Kaisercraft, Brads: BoBunny Press, Ink: Colorbok, Pens: ZIG Memory System (Kuretake). Tools: Stamps: myStampBOX.

Design Notes: Use a stamp to add interest to a title. Cut it out and pop it up with foam dots for added textural interest.

Journaling: You are my heart... cheesy grin and all.
