Scrapping Big
Do you see how using big photos on your layouts can create an impact on your layouts? Sometimes the photos say it all and large photos can make a really big statement. Like Rachel’s layout “Grandma”. I can totally feel the love here! The picture makes me wish I was there to hug grandma along with Rachel.

Enjoy Time Together by Samantha Wright
Supplies: Paper, Cardstock: Die Cuts With a View, Chipboard: Heidi Grace, Die Cuts: Heidi Swapp, Ribbon: Heidi Grace, BoBunny Press, Eyelets: Making Memories, Pins: Heidi Grace, Pens: Creative Memories, Other: charms.
Design Notes: Using such a big photo means that it is the main
focus of your layout. I still wanted to include the story so my journaling adds the touch, around the edges of the page creating a border of sorts. The ribbons are all individually tied onto a thin strip of cardstock and then the strip was attached to the layout.
Journaling: A beautiful winter morning at Mitchell Park. We had a super time looking at the animals. We had a picnic in the warm sunshine. A piggy-back ride was the order of the day. We ran and laughed and giggled as you bounced about on my back! It is so easy to enjoy our time together. A really happy day! Love you lots my little Roo x Love Aunty Sam xxx

Fond Memories by Susan Bourgeois
Supplies: Paper: October Afternoon, Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Alphabet: Stickers: October Afternoon, Buttons: Jenni Bowlin Studio, Ink: Tim Holtz (Ranger), Pen: American Crafts, Baker's Twine: Studio Calico, Ticket: My Mind's Eye. Tools: Punches: Martha Stewart.
Design Notes: I wanted the focus to remain on the picture so
the techniques are fairly simple. Shapes cut from patterned paper, layering, and inking were enough.
Journaling: Fond Memories of our childhood! I can still remember walking along the beach at Grand Isle even though I was only 4. I remember Mammaw and Pappaw being their too!

Grandma by Rachel Hawkins
Supplies: Paper: Lily Bee Design, Pink Paislee, Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Flowers: Michael's, Journaling Spots, Stickers, Alphabet: Pink Paislee, Ribbon: Making Memories, Bling: Jewelry Essentials, Ink: ColorBox, Pens: Zig.
Design Notes: I often find inspiration in challenge blogs and this layout was inspired by a prompt on the All About Me Challenge Blog. The prompt was to create a layout about your biggest idol and while I look up to many people in my life, I chose my Grandma as my biggest idol!
Journaling: The journaling is hidden behind the picture and reads: She is kind and caring and is always the peace maker of the family. She loves everyone equally and makes the best macaroni and cheese in the world!
