Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia
Each month, ScrapStreet travels to a new street, taking inspiration from that particular location. We learn a bit about our stop and try to infuse that knowledge and attitude in our creations. The monthly challenges encourage us to shake up our scrapping, trying new techniques, themes, and altered items as well as cards and color combinations. Travel along with us as we spend
September enjoying the
World Championship of Sand Sculpting.

We head to Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia for the World Championships of Sand Castles this month. This three day event extends beyond the traditional castle into the worlds of dreams, fantasies, and mythology. Talented artists create anything that they can imagine with details that boggle the mind.
This beach spot in the Pacific Northwest does not experience tides allowing designers to work without fear of seeing their creations washed out to sea. Participants can compete alone, as a duo, or in a team of 5 or 6 but they must qualify at region events before making it to the championships. Each has only 25 hours over 3 days to complete their work of art. Give it a google search and find a ton of inspiration!
