Children have the most creative and imaginative minds. One minute they can be little princesses sipping tea with their stuffed animals and the next minute they can be little surfers trying to catch the next big wave. Every so often a comedic moment emerges from a child’s imagination that has us adults rolling with laughter. For example, take a look at Aphra’s little son. Who would not be able to crack a smile after seeing her little boy looking like a cool dude with his goggles on? Or Janis’s little girl trying out a new make-up style. When it comes to a child’s imagination, I think Dr. Seuss states it best, “From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere.”

Design Notes: I used the papers from the Summer Soiree line of Fancy Pants for its bright and happy colors. I doodled around my layered papers to add an interesting touch to the background of my photo.

Ain't No Sunshine by Frances A. Sylvia
Supplies: Papers: Cosmo Cricket, Cardstock: Core’dinations, Bo Bunny, Bazzill Basics Paper, KI Memories, Floss: DMC, Chipboard: Scenic Route, Journaling Strips: Dymo, Alphabets: Doodlebug Design, American Crafts, Other: buttons.
Design Notes: I really wanted the design of this layout to be an oxymoron. It was a stormy day that day, and my kids were beginning to crack up! So I took this pic of them being a mess. Because it was stormy, I wanted my layout to depict what we wished we were doing...playing outside in beautiful weather.
Journaling:This is how we spend a rainy day. Summer 2008
