Simply Ink-tastic!
Do you remember the very first time that you experimented with inks? I do. It was in December 2006. Almost three years ago, I received a bottle of green glimmer mist by Tattered Angels to experiment with for a designer assignment. I tried using it and got so frustrated. I hated the way it looked on my layout; the mist made my page bulky. This was partly my fault because I just started spraying the stuff thickly on the layout. No wonder it looked bad. No one told me that I could use paper towels to dab some of the ink off the layout or perhaps if I held the ink about a foot from the cardstock, I could create a beautiful misty appearance.
So having said this, almost three years later, I love the stuff! I've got about nine bottles of Glimmer Mist and tons of ink pads that I use to distress the edges of my papers.
Inks are so much fun because they come in a variety of colors which add an artistic look to layouts. I love using templates with inks as well to create unique patterns and designs on cardstocks.

Today by Nicole Martel
Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Brads: Pink Paislee, Punch: EK Success, Specialty Ink, Templates: Tattered Angels, Pen: Uni-Ball.
Design Notes: Try not to spray the mist too close to the paper, hold the spray at least a foot above the cardstock to help spray the mist evenly.
Journaling: Today I'm feeling kind of cranky and mad with life in general. School and work is dragging me down. My husband doesn't understand me half the time. I'm wondering if I'm not doing something right? Why am I having all the problems? Why do I have to do everything? Being a woman isn't fair most days.
