Clothing Tags

Well, it's that time of year; kids are going back to school, the weather is starting to cool down, bedtime and morning routines are back to normal, and school shopping has begun. Department stores are filled with kids and parents looking for those perfect outfits. Bag after bag is being brought into the house and your child is already planning out tomorrow's attire, but make sure not to throw away those tags just yet! Hold onto them because you never know if one might inspire you for your next scrapbooking creation.

Shopping Trip by Reyanna Klein

Supplies: Papers: American Crafts, Making Memories, Cosmo Cricket, K & Company, Stickers: American Crafts, Making Memories, Calendar: Jenni Bowlin Studio, Pen: American Crafts, Other: clothing tags.

Design Notes: I used cut-up clothing tags in my journaling... ransom note style.

Journaling: My first shopping trip by myself -just for me! I got over my fear of picking out clothes! Only went in to four stores, but all for the very first time. Ann Taylor and I took our J Crew to the Banana Republic and we fell into the GAP.

Princess Play by Nicole Samuels

Supplies: Papers: BasicGrey, Making Memories, Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Stickers: BasicGrey, American Crafts, Chipboard: Making Memories, Brads: BasicGrey, Other: Disney clothing tag.

Design Notes: I thought this little tag from a Disney t-shirt was so cute, I saved it thinking it might one day end up on a page for my daughter. When I got these photos out to scrap, I knew I wanted to use the tag on THIS layout! I was inspired by the rounded corners of the tag as well as the color scheme and tried to mimic these on my layout.

Journaling: You are totally in love with the Disney Princesses right now, Cate. You pretend to be Ariel in the bathtub. You call Princess Jasmine and the Prince on the phone to talk about the royal ball. You love to get all dolled up in your princess dresses and heels while sitting at your Princess vanity. And of course, when asked what you want to be when you grow up...your answer is always, "a princess!" Winter 2008

Diva Photo Shoot by Lynda Lindley

Supplies: Papers: Creative Imaginations, Karen Russel, Flower: Colorbok, Rhinestones: Colorbok, Memory Boutique, Tools: Label Maker (Around the Block, Dymo Machine), Other: tape, clothing tags.

Design Notes: I used two price tags from the hat and boa and the plastic that held the sunglasses for the layout.

Journaling: Diva Photo Shoot - sunglasses - boas - pets 2/19/2009
