Sketch Contest!

Well, I've been accumulating a very large scrapbooking stash this past year, and it's about time I started sharing. Welcome to the second annual Street Maps sketch contest!

I tried to create sketches that appeal to everyone, card makers included. So put your thinking cap on and see what tugs at your mojo.

To enter, all you have to do is complete one or more of the sketches posted below. If you choose to do the card sketches, both cards have to be completed to be considered an entry. Send your projects to MichMc@ScrapStreet.com by October 1st, for a chance to win the scrappy pize box filled with items from BasicGrey, Creative Imaginations, Maya Road, and much more. All entries are also qualified for a place in a future installment of Street Maps.

Have fun and good luck!

Button Sketch by Michelle McClung

Digital Supplies: Buttons: Spring Fever Kit by Crystal Wilkerson (Two Peas in a Bucket), Software: Adobe Photoshop Elements, Fonts: Sybilgreen, Prestige, Other: flourish.

Design Notes: I just love circles! I was able to get a bunch of pictures on this sketch, while still leaving room for some white space. I used buttons and an invisible diagonal to draw your eye though the layout.

Border Punch Sketch by Michelle McClung

Digital Supplies: Borders: Coffee Shop Borders (Coffee Tea Photography Blog), Journaling Spot: All U Need Kit by Meredith Fenwick (Two Peas in a Bucket), Software: Adobe Photoshop Elements, Fonts: Succotash, Tempus.

Design Notes: Border punches are so hot right now! I love them and seem to have collected MANY! Make use of your border punches on this layout; one kind or all you've got. If you happen not to have any, try thinking outside the box: ribbon, cardstock stickers, decorative scissors, etc...

Card Sketches by Michelle McClung

Digital Supplies: Paper: Old Glories Kit by Hand Maid Designs (ScrapStreet), Ribbon: Berry Days Kit by Kate Teague (Two Peas in a Bucket), Software: Adobe Photoshop Elements, Fonts: Pickwick, Script.

Design Notes: Simple or elaborate, the cards made from these sketches will look great either way. To be entered in our contest, you must complete both card sketches.
