Stamp It Out!

Welcome to the September edition of Tool Time! This month we will be exploring the wonderful world of stamping! There are so many things you can do with stamps.

Most of us are used to stamping directly on our layouts, but have you ever thought about stamping on tissue paper? Heidi created a beautiful flower with lots of texture by first stamping on tissue paper and then carefully cutting out the design.

Have you ever wondered how to make your stamps "pop"? Pia created a nice three dimensional effect with her card by first stamping directly on the paper, then stamping the same image on patterned paper, cut out the shape, and placed it directly over the original stamped image with some pop dots.

If you would like to add a bit of texture to your layout, you can stitch over the stamped image like what I did on my layout.

What other creative ways can you think of using your stamps? Create something and put it in the ScrapStreet gallery. I'd love to see what you come up with!

7 Years of Beautiful by Heidi Kelley

Supplies: Paper: BasicGrey, Cardstock: Warehouse, Rub-Ons: Rusty Pickle, Ink: Tsukineko, Letters: Spare Parts, Pen: Signo, Floss: Michael's, Other: ribbon, tissue paper, stamp, stickers, transparency, flowers, pop dots.

Design Notes: I love using Glossy Accents on top of hand cut floral details in order to make the flowers pop! I also stamped an image here on a piece of ordinary white tissue paper, crumpled it up for a bit of texture, and then attached to my page! Most of my pages are simply clustered to the max! I tend to love the look of layers upon layers, giving each page extraordinary dimension.

Journaling: (On the backside of the layout) Ahna, my BEAUTIFUL child. Your heart is amazing, your spirit breathtaking. Every moment of your past 7 years has left me so very proud to be your Mama. Happy birthday precious girl.

Summer Fruit by Pia Overgaard

Supplies: Papers: Bo Bunny, Making Memories, Cardstock: Bazzil Basics Paper, Other: pop dots, string.

Design Notes: Stamp your images on pattern paper, cut out and add to your card with pop dots for some extra interest and dimension. Bold colors look great on kraft!

So Fast by Diana Brodeur

Design Notes:In order to reflect my daughter's age in the photo, I colored in the number 4 stamp and stitched around it to add a bit of texture.
