When did you discover photography? You might not consider yourself a photographer but if you are one of those scrappers who take your camera everywhere with you, then you just might just earn the label.

This month, I had the honor of reviewing so many beautiful layouts that focused on the photos. Sure, I love using lots of embellishments on my layouts, but sometimes I’ll snap that awesome photo and do not want to take anything from it. When I have a really good photo, I like the photo to stand out on my page. I love how Leah Killian’s layout, “Gratitude, Humility and Joy” focused on her beautiful photo of her and her children. The brackets pull your eyes to the photos and I love the yellow, black and white because it really catches your attention! Another one of my favorites is Annika Prestwich’s layout, “Joy.” This layout is so attractive with it’s vibrant colors, and the mesh adds the perfect touch! The textures and colors reflect how happy the couple is in the photo. Take a look at, “I Want to Share My Memories with You” by Emma Bergvall. The colors blend so well with the gorgeous photo!

Editor’s notes: I love how Meghan used one color photo and the rest black and white. By doing this, she draws the reader’s eyes directly to the photos!

The Eyes Have It by Meghan Currier. Supplies: Paper: American Crafts, Colorbok, Pink Paislee, Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Flowers: Prima Marketing, Letters: Pink Paislee, Cricut Expression, Brads: SEI, Buttons: Joann’s, Chipboard: Lisa Bearnson, Ribbon: Wyla Inc.

Joy by Annika Prestwich. Supplies: Paper: Prima Marketing, Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Flowers: Petaloo, Brads: Creative Café, Making Memories, Black Punchinella, Letters: American Crafts, Other: black pen.

Design notes: I made this layout when I was visiting a friend’s house. I had only bought a limited supply of things with me and needed to think "Less is More". I have recently started to buy pre-matched scrapbooking kits, which makes it so much easier to mix and match with colors and patterns without having it looking strange or misplaced. This is done from one of those kits and I love how everything blends together well, as well as highlights the colors of the photo!

Design note: I designed my own cloud with a white pen and drew some lines inside the clouds for the best look!

Experience Unique by Nathalie Chauchadis. Supplies: Paper: Paper Trunk, Making Memories, Stickers: KesiArt, Letters: Toga, Imagination Project, Rub-ons: American Crafts, Stamps: Purple Onion, Autumn Leaves, Border Punch: Fiskars.
