Nicole Martel

After viewing these layouts several times, I couldn’t help but want to know more about the photo and the people in them. That's what scrapbooking is about! As I’ve mentioned before, I love pictures and always have.

I hope that these layouts inspire you to focus on your photos. This month, try doing something different and dig out those beautiful photos to create a simple layout that puts the focus on the picture. Have fun!

Design notes:  To add some interest to the chipboard letters you can use rub-ons. Also to add a little sparkle, I used some Stickles on the flowers. To cut out the details I used a craft knife.

Rest by Jenn Koss. Supplies: Paper, Rub-Ons, Stickers: Making Memories, Cardstock: Die Cuts With a View, Chipboard Letters, Brads: K & Company, Glitter: Ranger, Pen: Creative Memories, Ribbon: American Crafts.

Journaling: Blissful sleep-You look like you are very comfy in your ride. We were at big brother’s field day at school when you decided to take some ZZZ's -Spring 2007

Editor's notes: Notice how Bridget cut the frame in half and how she cut out the flowers. The swirl was cut from the Hambly screen print. She also cut the 7Gypsies tape in half, and layered ribbon on top.

Me in My Lovely Teenage Years by Bridget Farrington. Supplies: Paper: Chatter Box, Overlay: Hambly Studios, Paper Clip: 7Gypsies, Frame: Everlasting Keepsakes, Tape: 7Gypsies, Bling: Creative Imaginations, Other: button, ribbon.

Journaling: Me in my lovely teenage years! I really do miss the fair. We would go every year especially on Wednesdays. We could ride all the rides we wanted. I miss the elephant ears with peaches and chocolate toppings. This is one of my favorite pictures taken by my sister.

Design note: Notice how I used the stamps across the page to drag the attention to the photo?

Thief by Nicole Martel. Supplies: Paper: Hambly Studios, Jenni Bowlin, Pink Paislee, Cardstock: American Crafts, Transparency: Hambly Studios, Tag: Evilicious, Rub-on: Moxie, Stamp: Stamp Craft, Pen: Signo, Ink: Clearsnap.

Journaling: “And what do you think your doing? You are in my chair… scoot!”
