Provocraft

Provocraft was high on our must visit list for CHA this year.  Our talented columnist Jackie Gallagher was invited to design for their Cuttlebug Challenge Blog and we wanted to show our support.  Her creations had us all thinking we just might need a Cuttlebug, but we wanted a chance to play with one live before committing to the purchase.

We stepped into the Provocraft booth and sunk into the carpet.  Ahhh, heaven.  When on your feet all day running from booth to booth, do not estimate the power of soft and squishy flooring.  We took a moment and looked around.  Holy make-n-take Batman!  This adorable pail, viewfinder, and door hanger showcasing the newest Cricket comics cartridge line.

I confess to not owning any machine other than my computer for scrapbooking.  Several of our team owned Crickets already and knew just what to do.  I was a bit lost, but learned with some help from the Cricket mascot.  Yes, they have mascots!  A Cricket and a (cuttle) Bug that were just too cute running around making tired scrappers smile.

I dug in and managed to glue all the teeny tiny pieces that it takes to make these super faces perfect.  The more I worked the more I loved the process.  I know that I could not duplicate these faces in the same detail and dimension without the Cricket.

My son, Zack, loved having a "manly" make-n-take come home in mommy's bag.  He was too used to rolling his eyes at the pretties as my daughter reached for them eagerly.  The door hanger still adorns his door 2 months later and he mentions the need for a few more room decorations to coordinate.

We did finally drag ourselves away from the Super creations to meet Maggie at the Cuttlebug station and fell in love all over again.  A die cutting and embossing machine, the Cuttlebug changes the texture of creations --literally.  They topped our must have list instantly.

We have been home from CHA for two months and my Cuttlebug gets a frequent workout.  As my first machine purchase, I cannot even move it off of my desk since it is always in play.  I have yet to use it to die cut, but my embossing folder topped 10 this month and is not showing signs of slowing down.

Our visit to the wonderful Provocraft booth answered our questions, inspired us to create, and encouraged us to spend wisely on machines that we can use for years to come.
