Having a secret love for all things involving home decorating, I enjoy reading about the meaning of different colors. I often wonder if I chose the correct one to convey a certain theme or feeling. When I researched the color orange, I learned that it is considered to be full of energy and life. Feng Shui experts would tell you that orange is a social color because it elicits conversations and a playful atmosphere. It is said to increase creativity and enthusiasm.
It is for all these reasons why you should consider using orange on your next scrapbooking project! Since fall is upon us, you can certainly create traditional layouts involving the pumpkin patch and trick-or-treating. But the color orange can be used for so much more than just that! I was married in the fall and have loved using orange as a strong accent color on my wedding layouts. What better way to convey passion and happiness!
Look at what happens when orange is used in different ways on these layouts! Chrys kept the color scheme natural and earthy, while Tracey added in small touches of bright blue. Susan was a risk-taker, pairing orange with pink to make a funky and psychedelic layout. Regardless, orange is the star on all these layouts!
