If you live in the United States, you will likely be gathering together with your family and friends to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday this month. Thanksgiving, a holiday centered on the idea of being thankful for the bounteous blessings that we sometimes take for granted in our everyday life, is in concept a really great idea. Now I say “in concept” because how many of us actually will take time to be truly grateful and express our “thankfulness” in words to those that we truly value and love?
Personally, I will be celebrating this holiday with my parents, brother, and my precious little family. I will have the traditional feast and end up eating way too much ... but will I actually take the opportunity to express to each of them how grateful I am that I have them in my life?

Supplies: Paper: American Crafts, Specialty Ink, Screen, Chipboard: Tattered Angels, Rub-Ons: Bo Bunny, Pink Paislee, Stamp: Hero Arts, Ribbon: Rusty Pickle, Ink: Stampin' Up!, Thread: DMC.
Design Notes: The background on this card was created using glimmer mist and a glimmer screen (plastic template). I sprayed the template and then laid it on top of my cardstock, to essentially stamp the image.

Supplies: Papers: BasicGrey, Border Punch: Fiskars, Rub-On: Melissa Frances.
Design Notes: I love to play with sketches for cards; this one is based upon a sketch (129) from the CPS blog.

Supplies: Papers: Scenic Route, Cardstock: Bazill Basics Paper, Ric-Rac: Queen & Co, Rub-On: Kaisercraft, Other: crown cap, staples.
Design Notes: To create an interesting contrast in size and scale, I used oversized ric-rac and - crown cap together with small - and medium sized paper patterns. I flattened the edge of the crown cap with a hammer before I adhered the rub-on.
