The holidays are here again and we are so happy to share a new kit with you! The holidays at my house are all about spending time together. We decorate the tree, bake cookies, sip homemade hot cocoa and we open presents. I come from a big family that has always been pretty close knit, and when we get together there is a huge party. What are your special traditions? This is a great kit for scrapping them.
We have a new guest creative team member joining us this month, Nidia Figueroa, our October Digital Discovery! Nidia has created a beautiful page for us using this months collaborative kit created by Handmaid Designs and Jopke Designs. We also have a selection of layouts and cards from other members of our creative and editorial teams.

Christmas Morning Treasured Memories by Nidia Figueroa
Digital Supplies: Winter Shimmer Collaboration Kit by Jopke Designs and Handmaid Designs for ScrapStreet.com, Font: Scrap Casual.
Editor's Note: This photo of Nidia's 2 year old on Christmas morning 1996 is scrapped in her pleasing style of plenty of white space, allowing the photo to shine.

Merry Christmas Card by Janneke Smit
Digital Supplies: Winter Shimmer Collaboration Kit by Jopke Designs and Handmaid Designs for ScrapStreet.com, Fonts: Monotype Corsiva, Adobe Garamond Pro.
Design Notes: I love to use digital kits for my holiday photo cards. I create one or more card designs with a kit, and when the photos for this season are ready, I can use as many different photos as I want on the same card designs. Depending on how many cards I will need this year I can either print them myself or use an online service. For this card I changed the color of the stars and one of the tabs with a simple color overlay layer style.

Snow, Snow and More Snow by Janice Badger
Digital Supplies: Winter Shimmer Collaboration Kit by Jopke Designs and Handmaid Designs for ScrapStreet.com, Alpha from April kit by Jopke Designs, Cracked Overlay from You Touch My World by Jopke Designs, Stick Pin from Rustic Road by Jorinde, Staple from Old Glory by Handmaid Designs (all ScrapStreet), Font: CK Ali's Writing.
Editor's Note: Keeping your layout to one main color with element clustering is a very effective way to show off those fun winter photos.
Journaling: Yeah, I know, in northern states this would be laughable. But, two 6-inch snowstorms in NC in one year is pretty remarkable and made for two very happy little boys. March Second, Two Thousand Nine. |
