I Smell Fall In The Air
I have to tell you that this time of year, fall/autumn, is hands down my absolute favorite time of year. I don’t have one
specific favorite thing about this time of year, but rather the combination of many different things. We normally live somewhere
that heat and humidity play a huge factor in the summer so I think the cooler air is a very welcome friend in the fall. Of course
living in a house with a football lover also means the cool air signals game time. I have a deep affection for tailgating and game food for sure!
One of my very favorite parts of fall is all the colors. I love wearing dark colors anyway, and fall brings some of my favorites to the forefront for a
few months. I love the browns, dark oranges, deep reds and that bright splash of yellow. Just walk outside and you can also find all these colors in your
neighborhood too. I have a stockpile of leaf photos from the fall and still, I take more each and every year of the beautiful colors! Several designers took
color to the forefront for their layouts featuring all things fall. Take a look...

Pen: Stampin' Up, Adhesive: 3L, Tombow, Tools: Electronic Cutter: Cricut, Provo Craft, Cartridge: Straight from the Nest, Stamp: Autumn Leaves, Other: floss, acrylic paint.
Design Notes: I love Bazzill Swiss Dot for the wonderful texture it adds! The leaves were diecut then popped with foam adhesive. Stitched doodles help move your eyes across the page.

Leaves by Lisa Purko
Digital Supplies: Kit: Crisp Days of Fall - Lyndsay Riches Designs with Designs by Julie Bullock (Scrap Orchard) and Busy Bee Fall Freebie by Busy Bee Designs (MScraps),
Software: Adobe Photoshop CS3, Fonts: Century Gothic, Buffet Script.
Design Notes: I used some 3D shadowing on the bucket and apple in the bottom right corner by using the burn tool with a large soft brush to darken my shadow around the edges.
Journaling: It's raining big, it's raining small, it's raining autumn leaves In fall. It's raining gold and red and brown, as autumn leaves come raining down.

Clad in Plaid by Lisa Kisch
Supplies: Paper: Bo Bunny, Studio Calico, Alphabet Stickers: American Crafts, Journaling Spots: Studio Calico, Stickers: American Crafts, Bling: Kaisercraft, Pens: American Crafts,
Tools: Electronic Cutter: Xyron Wishblade.
Design Notes: I built this layout around the Studio Calico journaling cards, sizing my photos down and cutting them to the same size. I also used the packaging from the cards as my journaling block-- I just trimmed it down and used patterned
paper to cover the logo. Using packaging on your layouts is such a bonus!
Journaling: I admit that I have pretty specific ideas on how to dress my little girls. I stay away from logos and cartoon characters, and I tend to push the neon colours to the bottom of the drawer.
I like the classics-- denim, cotton twill, and leather Mary Janes. Oh, and plaid. Just right.
