The Imagination of Dr. Suess

Each month, ScrapStreet travels to a new street, taking inspiration from that particular location. We learn a bit about our stop and try to infuse that knowledge and attitude in our creations. The monthly challenges encourage us to shake up our scrapping, trying new techniques, themes, and altered items as well as cards and color combinations. Travel along with us as we spend March enjoying the imagination of Dr. Suess.

Theodor Seuss Geisel, commonly known by his pen name Dr. Seuss, enchanted generations of children and adults alike with his words and illustrations.  He created characters that have been brought to life in television, film, and even a Broadway musical.  Several of his beloved characters--Cat in the Hat, Grinch, and Horton--are attributed as the best recognized literary characters  of the last century.

Dr. Seuss' birthday, March 2, has been adopted as the annual date for National Read Across America Day, an initiative on reading created by the National Education Association.  In past years, Google has changed their logo for the day to pay tribute.

Dr. Seuss' books are often the first read and best loved of children.  His bold illustrations, unique rhymes, and timeless messages will continue to inspire future readers.  This month, we take inspiration from the amazing mind of Dr. Seuss.
