Congratulations to Megan Aaron for being our May cover girl!  We fell in love with the sweet soft romance of her layout.  Megan mixes vintage with modern supplies and techniques beautifully.  We are thrilled to feature her gorgeous work!

You, too, might see your creation on the cover, but you have to submit first! All items submitted to article calls are looked at, and the top eye-catchers are chosen by our Editors and put in a voting poll for our crew to select the cover winner. So get those layouts, cards and projects in everyone!

Take a second look at our front cover.

You Should Have Seen it in Color by Megan Aaron

Supplies: Paper: Graphic 45, Alphabet Stickers: Jenni Bowlin Studio, American Crafts, Die Cuts: Graphic 45, Ribbon: Bo Bunny, Pearls: Zva Creative, Pins: Maya Road, Little Yellow Bicycle, Glitter Glue: Ranger Distress, Ink: Clearsnap, Thread: DMC, Envelope: Maya Road, Specialty Ink: Tattered Angels, Other: lace, buttons. Tools: Other: sewing machine, sandpaper, craft knife.

Design Notes: To create the flowers, I punched several of the same sized scalloped circles from an old book, inked the edges and sprayed them with glimmer mist. While they were still damp, I started with what would become the innermost petals and scrunched it sort of into a cone shape. Then I added several more circles onto the outside in the same manner, scrunching each one a little bit less. Finally I secured it with a brad, before covering the brad with a vintage button.
