Timeless

Time passes like a thief in the night. What we have left of our yesterdays are our memories; and these memories should be cherished and preserved. But we shouldn’t just archive the important days like birthdays, anniversaries and holidays but also bits and pieces of our everyday lives. Sometimes the most simple of instances are the ones that live in our hearts and memories the longest.

What could be more timeless than a child’s smile? In the layout by Natasha, she records the many faces of her child, and her journaling says it all – “You Make Me Smile.” Natasha is telling her story, and what is important to her, the everyday faces of her child.

Another everyday story is told in the layout “Sketch Book” by Daphna. She is leaving a record for her son, telling the story of how much he loves to draw. She has several photos from the time he was a baby; and in all those photos he is drawing. That is a very significant everyday story and history to tell and leave for Daphna’s family.

Lastly, I found a picture of my husband, my friend Teri, and me. This photo is several years old and I wanted to record the good times we all had together as friends. Friendship is very important to me, my husband and I are very social and we love being around friends. My title says “Life” because for me; my friends are part of my everyday life, good times, laughter and love

All three of these layouts have an element of time – a clock. By having a clock embellishment on these layouts – it lets the viewer know that these pages are a record of a piece of time to be remembered.
